Michael Jordan may be a lot of things, Hall of Fame basketball player, Nike and Gatorade pitchman, horrible outfielder, but there is one thing he isn't. And that is the father of Lisa Miceli's son. Though, she doesn't agree despite the paternity tests and legal rulings.A judge has barred a Pennsylvania woman from contacting Michael Jordan, his family or his representatives.
Lisa Miceli says the basketball great fathered her 4-year-old son. The 35-year-old woman was thrown out of court after speaking out several times during a hearing on the request June 4.
Earlier this year, Jordan filed a lawsuit to enforce a 2005 agreement to stay away from him after two DNA tests proved he was not the boy's father.
Jordan's attorneys say Miceli continued to send Jordan hundreds of e-mails and telephone him in spite of that agreement.
Seriously, she sounds a little overzealous, but don't you know that that's how all bloggers are? Wait, you didn't know that she was a blogger? Well, don't worry because I've got the link right here:
http://mjordanmistress.blogspot.com/
It's where you'll find gems like:MJ NEVER EXPRESSED AN INTEREST IN KELLY WERNER - he called her bowlegs and my horse ended up stolen and then my DNA files....
A stolen horse? Well, that's pretty sad.
/Affirmed.
And this:THIS IS WHAT INFURIATES ME THE MOST...... MJ WAS WITH ME AND NOT JUANITA JORDAN... I have no desire to be that woman.... nor look like her or have her thick body..
If that is what MJ likes, this proves that I was raped and he should go to jail.... and never contact me or the child again....
Sounds like a pretty airtight case to me!
And of course this:His lawyer, Fred Sperling needs to be disbarred.... for fraudulent misrepresentation... does he represent LIVE NATION??? NO - He is not one of their lawyers...
Is he DEREK JETER's lawyer??? NO....
So, then how can he speak for them.... he cannot... MJ IS SPEAKING FOR THEM.. he wants the whole world to ban me for me asking him for a DNA TEST.... MJ flips the script like he is the important one... and he CASUED 9/11 with his mockery of ARAB CULTURE AND BLATANT DISRESPECT OF ME.... and blaming me for the affair.. WHY??? I wanted to be married to a faithful partner.....
M.J. as the cause of 9/11? How could George Tenet ever have missed that?
Oh man, maybe Bissinger was right about this blog stuff.

When Litigation Runs Wild

Ok, I dislike the Patriots as much as a lot of people. Well, maybe it's more like hate. Though, I grew up as a Dolphins fan, so I have to hate them(the same goes for the Jets and Bills). However, I don't think that I hate them enough to support what Willie Gary is proposing.
Oh, you don't know who Willie Gary is?
Well, you're probably in the majority because until the other day I didn't know who he was either and I'm actually a football fan. Willie Gary is a former St. Louis Rams safety who played in Super Bowl XXXVI. You know, the one where the Pats alledgedly taped the Rams final walkthrough and then won 20-17. Gary has joined a class action lawsuit against the Pats, and believes that the Rams players from that Super Bowl team are entitled to $25,000 each due to the difference in compensation between the winning and losing teams and $125,000 each due to not winning a ring. The total would amount to $6.75 million.
Like I said, I hate the Patriots, but this seems sort of "sore loserish" to me. The Rams were heavy favorites to win, but lost on a last second field goal. I'm sure for guys like Gary, who never made it to the superstar level, losing the Super Bowl is something that he'll never forget. However, the tapes in question better show some very damning evidence of the Patriots staff "cheating", or else Gary will also be remembered as the guy who could never get over losing the big game.

Tony McDaniel, Finally Pays For His Heinous Act
Tony McDaniel, a former lineman at the University of Tennessee and now a defensive tackle for the Jacksonville Jaguars, has finally settled his civil lawsuit. He was sued for $800,000 by Edward Goodrich, a UT student, for basically breaking his face. But that is what's to be expected when you suckerpunch someone during a basketball game.
That video still turns my stomach a bit, and it's been two years since I first saw it.

Randy Moss Issues The Standard Denial

Randy Moss has answered the allegations that he injured a woman, and then refused to let her seek medical help. And eventhough it's a pretty standard denial, it does raise more questions than it answers.
"I want to make something clear," the Patriots wide receiver said while surrounded by reporters and cameras at his locker. "In my whole entire life of living 30 years, I've never put my hand on one woman, physically or in an angry manner."
Florida radio station WDBO reported that a woman filed for an order of protection against Moss, alleging he committed battery against her. The report said a temporary injunction was issued, barring Moss from coming within 500 feet of the woman and from using or possessing firearms.
Moss gave no details of the alleged incident, saying he was restricted by the legal case.
He said the woman was a friend of 11 years and that she asked for "six figures" for what Moss said was an accident in which she was hurt.
"They're false allegations, something I've been battling for like the last couple of days of threats going public if I didn't pay X amount of dollars," Moss said. "So before people rush quick to judgment I think you need to find out the facts about, really, what's going on.
"This young lady by no means is hurt. I didn't hurt her."
Ok, so Moss has known this person for 11 years, and now, all of a sudden, she's decided to try and extort money from him through some type of false accident claim? Why now? I guess it could be because of all the attention focused on Moss as the Patriots try to make it to the Super Bowl undefeated. However, she could have just as easily done it when he was in Oakland or Minnesota.
Also, Moss claims that the woman was involved in "an accident in which she was hurt", but then goes on to say that she is "by no means hurt". He does state that he "didn't hurt her", but his denials leave a lot of room for speculation.
I'm not saying that Moss is definitely guilty of assaulting this woman. Athletes and celebrities are always targets of people looking to make a quick buck, probably far more often than any of us ever realize. However, I'm not fully convinced by his statements that something between him and the woman did not happen. One scenario that I thought of, since it's obvious that he knows his accuser, is that he got her pregnant, asked her to get an abortion while promising to take care of her and never gave her any assistance. It's a bit farfetched, but in this day and age crazy stories pop up on the news every day. It's definitely something to keep an eye because I don't think that this one will be going away anytime soon.

Bengals Fans Just Aren't Having A Good Year
This past weekend, another Cincinnati Bengals player was arrested, the 10th this offseason, and this morning, the decision to dismiss a lawsuit pertaining to the financing of Paul Brown Stadium was upheld.
Back in 1996, "voters approved a half-cent sales tax hike for the $450 million Paul Brown Stadium". However, an anti-trust suit was filed in 2003 claiming that taxpayers and officials had been forced into approving the funding with the threat of the Bengals leaving Cincinnati if a new stadium wasn't built.
The problem is that there is a four year statue of limitations attached to cases like that, and the suit was filed three years too late. It was dismissed without county officials' being able to state their case that they were "victimized by monopoly power".
In his ruling, Judge Jeffrey Sutton said:
"The only thing worse than having a losing team is having no team-- no team for the community and its political leaders to support and no reason to say: 'There's always next year.'"
What about a team that's had close to 1/5 of its players arrested? I'm sure that some Bengals fans wish they didn't have a team this offseason, and if the arrests keep up they might not have a team to field "next year". Unless the fans feel like making a visit to the county lockup. With any luck, Judge Sutton will have some of those Bengals players make appearances in his court so he can tell them how great they are no matter if they're winning, losing, driving under the influence, puking out of car windows or being drunk and disorderly.
