Apparently, there was a pretty heated exchange between a sportscaster at a local Fox affiliate and the station's News Director.
Lake Mary police expect to wrap up their investigation today into a complaint by WOFL-Channel 35 sportscaster Thomas Forester that his boss pushed him during a dispute.
Police went to the station Thursday after Forester called for help. He told them he had been meeting with News Director Bob Clinkingbeard and tried to leave the room, but Clinkingbeard blocked his exit and "bumped" him intentionally, according to a police report.
Forester told police he wanted to press charges, according to the report.
As of now, no charges have been filed, but I'm curious as to what caused the flare-up. It had to be pretty significant if Forester wanted to press charges. According to one account, Forester was actually shoved up against a wall by Clinkingbeard.
"Clinkingbeard, 47, became so enraged with Forester's reluctance to carry out an assignment, he confronted him in a hallway and shoved Forester against a wall. Angry and shaken, Forester retreated to his desk and telephoned Lake Mary police."
I'll be keeping an eye out for the video should it ever be available for the public to view. I'll post it up if I ever get it, or shoot me link if any of you out there find it.
